(That Actually Fits)

If you’re preparing for your boudoir session in Austin and wondering where to find lingerie that fits and flatters your curves—you’re in the right place. At Arin Phillips Photo, I specialize in creating luxury boudoir photography experiences for women of all shapes and sizes—and yes, that includes styling advice.

Because the right outfit? It doesn’t just fit—it transforms how you feel in front of the camera.

📏 How to Measure Yourself for Lingerie That Fits Like a Dream

Let’s get one thing clear: traditional size labels (S, M, L...) in lingerie are basically useless, especially for plus-size bodies. Your measurements will always be your best tool when shopping for any size lingerie and that includes plus size.

Here’s how to measure for the perfect fit:

  • Bust: Wrap a sewing measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest. Round to the nearest whole number.
  • Waist: Measure the narrowest part of your torso—between your ribs and hip bones. This is often referred to as your "Natural Waist"
  • Hips: Stand naturally, feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and booty.

Armed with these three numbers, you’ll shop smarter—and avoid the dreaded returns pile.

🖤 Best Places to Shop for Plus Size Lingerie

When my clients want help choosing boudoir outfits for curvy bodies, these are the brands I recommend most. They’re size-inclusive, flattering, and photo-tested by dozens of real clients in my Austin boudoir studio.

  • Yandy: Budget-friendly and flirty. Great for bold styles and playful vibes.
  • Adore Me: Size-inclusive, trendy, and built for comfort + style. A great all-around pick.
  • Lane Bryant: A go-to for flattering bodysuits, lacy sets, and supportive bras.
  • ASOS: Fashion-forward and size-diverse. Great for dramatic or editorial-style looks.
  • Torrid: Widely loved for their curve-friendly cuts and comfy-meets-sexy designs.
  • Amazon: If you know your measurements, this can be a treasure trove—just read the reviews and shop with caution. Some pieces are Shein products and we don't want the hassle of that.

👗 What to Wear for a Plus Size Boudoir Session

The best lingerie for plus size boudoir photography is the kind that makes you feel powerful. Whether it’s a lacy teddy, an oversized button-up, a sheer robe, or strappy bodysuit—it’s less about the garment and more about how it moves with your body and changes your mindset. If you’re not sure what to choose, don’t stress. I offer styling support with every boudoir session, and can help you select pieces that match your aesthetic, comfort level, and posing goals.
